Current Volunteer Opportunities
- Children's Services : Assisting with children's programs such as reading to children and assisting in homework centers.
- Clerical : Assist staff with clerical tasks such as shelving, emptying book drops, cleaning books, filing and typing.
- Public Assistance : Provide direct assistance to the public by answering questions, giving tours and coaching Internet stations.
- Other languages : Read to children from other language materials such as Spanish, Hmong and Cambodian. Assist staff with translation, cataloguing and selection of other language materials.
- Maintenance : Assist with maintenance tasks not covered by the current county budget. These tasks include maintenance of library interiors and grounds.
- Art : Assist with posters, displays, bulletin boards, flannel board stories, and crafts for children.
- Teen Council : In Clovis, Fig Garden, Cedar-Clinton, Sunnyside, Politi and Auberry libraries. Assist with planning program, choosing books, music and more for other teens like your self.
- Literacy Program : Provide tutoring in reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics to adult learners in a one on one setting.
