Career Online High School

California State Library

The Fresno County Public Library's Career Online High School (COHS) offers adults (19 and over) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificates online.

The library's program provides a limited number of scholarships that will cover the COHS program expenses to qualified adult learners who are looking to expand their career opportunities, prepare for workforce entry or continue their education.

To be considered for the program, applicants will successfully complete an online self-assessment and prerequisite course, followed by an in-person interview. Applicants must be a Fresno County resident with a Fresno County Library card in good standing. Don't have a library card? You can get one by visiting any branch of the Fresno County Public Library.

Once enrolled in the program, COHS pairs each student with an online academic coach, who provides the student with an individual career path, offers ongoing guidance, evaluates performance and connects the student with the resources needed to master the courses. Courses are online, and students will have the flexibility to access classwork 24/7. Students will be given up to 18 months to complete the program.
