Current Volunteer Opportunities

Why Volunteer?
Volunteers derive personal growth and fulfillment as they contribute their time and skills to meet the learning and information needs of the public the library serves. Friendship, education, recognition and genuine satisfaction in a job well done are among the rewards of volunteering. Volunteers are the heart of the Fresno County Public Library system. Over 450 volunteers currently donate their time and talents to provide valuable assistance to the staff and patrons of the library.

How do I Volunteer?
Call the Volunteer Coordinator to set up an interview. At the interview you will be asked to fill out a volunteer application. In your application you'll tell us where you'd like to work and what days and hours you're available. You'll also describe your talents, skills and interests so that we may provide you with a volunteer opportunity that will benefit you and the library.
