Need help with your PIN (personal identification number)? We can usually help you fastest by phone. Expect to be asked for the number from your library card and some other identifying information, such as your date of birth.

  • Ask a Librarian
    • By phone. Staff at any of our branches - some are open seven days a week - can answer questions about your library account. All branches have some reference books from which questions can be answered over the phone but the Reference Department (488-3195, press 5) at the downtown Fresno location, called Central, has by far the most.

    • By email. This service is intended for specific questions with brief, factual answers, but it's also a good way for people from out of town to ask questions about Fresno County, or about library services, including the library's online catalog. Library staff will do their best to answer your question, or suggest how you can further pursue your question, within two days - excluding weekends and holidays. These Departments have their own "Ask a Librarian" forms:

    • Chat 24/7 - This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the chat librarian may be anywhere in the country and likely cannot answer questions about your library account.

  • Report a Database Problem
  • Send a Comment to the County Librarian about library service.
  • Suggestion for Purchase
  • Telephone Tree - Recorded information in English and Spanish, Central Library telephone menu options, Telecirc (renew by phone, check due dates).
  • We are Listening - take our survey about library service, leave a comment
