Opening of Mendota Branch Library

The new Mendota Branch Library opened to great community pride and fanfare on September 28, 2007. Assemblymember Juan Arambula, California State Librarian Susan Hildreth, Fresno County Librarian Karen Bosch Cobb, Fresno County Supervisor Phil Larson and other dignitaries congratulated staff and Mendota residents on the state-of-the-art facility. Among the exciting features of the new building:

12,576 square feet
Capacity for 46,000 books and other materials
17 public computers
Quiet Room
Community meeting room with kitchenette
Family literacy center
