WHAT: Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Fowler Branch Library

WHEN:

Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: 312 South Seventh Street (at Fresno Street) in Fowler
DETAILS: Years of “friendraising” and fundraising will finally culminate with an official groundbreaking ceremony for a new branch library in Fowler. The long awaited project was made possible through the efforts of a community task force that raised more than $1-million in donations from individuals, businesses, and civic groups, including an initial gift from students at Sutter Middle School. Additional funding is provided by Measure B, the Leon S. Peters and Pete P. Peters Foundations, and an in-kind donation from the City of Fowler. The new library is anticipated to open in summer 2008.
