About the Friends
Did you know that:
At one time the Fresno County Library delivered books
to mountain branches by dog sled? It's true! Read about it in the California
History Room of the Main Library.
The Friends of the Fresno County Library was incorporated in 1980 as a tax-exempt charitable non-profit organization to seek private sector support for the Fresno County Public Library (FCPL). The Friends seek contributions to support the FCPL's valuable collections of books and materials, for selected capital improvements, and to expand services that provide greater access to learning for the County's growing population. The Friends provide funding for projects that complement, but do not supplant, the County's responsibility for continued operation of the FCPL.
The Friends of the Fresno County Public Library
is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
Tax I.D. #94-2666290.
