Paula Poundstone Joins Library Friends
Friends of the Fresno County Library is an organization dedicated to fostering interest in the Library, promoting its welfare, and addressing those of its needs that are not being met through government funding.
The Friends of the Fresno County Public Library was organized in 1980 by a group of concerned citizens who realized that funding through taxes alone would not permit the Library to provide the level of service desired by its staff or its patrons. Friends serves as a connective link between the Library and the Community.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Friends of the Fresno County Library is to cultivate interest in the Library, serve as an advocate for the Library in the community and provide funding for needs not met by government sources through fundraising, sponsoring public awareness events and serving as a vehicle to receive contributions to the Library in the form of gifts, endowments and bequests.
