You Belong @ Your Library

National Library Week is an annual celebration of our nation’s libraries and librarians. And there’s plenty of reasons to celebrate the people, programs and services at your Fresno County Public Library – both in person and virtually. Come join in the fun!

  1. Answer the Guess What? Question of the Day and enter a chance to win a five-pound bar of Ghirardelli Chocolate. Yummmm!
  2. Register for an E-Book Workshop.
  3. Make a video of why You Belong @ Your Library and be a star on the Library's YouTube channel. Ages 13 and up.
  4. Tell us why You Belong @ Your Library at the new My Library My Story web page.
  5. Collect stamps in your Library passport and win a prize - Ages 4 to 17.
  6. Enter the Poetry Contest - Grades 3 through College.
  7. Attend one of the many Library programs happening this week for Kids, Teens, Adults and All Ages.

Celebrate National Library Workers Day - April 10

  1. Learn about Library Stars featured in the Staff Spotlight.
  2. Nominate your own Library Star
  3. Visit a library and say hi to your favorite librarian.

Celebrate National Bookmobile Day - April 11

  1. Travel through time with the Library's bookmobiles and delivery services - including sled dogs!
  2. Share your bookmobile memory.

Celebrate Teen Literature Day - April 12

  1. Read a great award winning teen book or one of the 2011 Teens’ Top Ten.
  2. Write a review of your favorite teen book.
  3. Don't forget to enter the Poetry Contest April 1-30, 2012.
