Big Read Photo Contest
Win a Sony Digital Book Reader
- Pick up your “READ Tom Sawyer” sign at any Fresno County Library location or at the Center Court Kiosk at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis. Signs may also be downloaded and printed.
- Display your sign in your yard or window to encourage everyone to read Tom Sawyer this March and April during The Big Read.
- Take a photo of you, your family, or friends with your “READ Tom Sawyer” sign creatively displayed in your yard or window.
- E-mail your digital picture as a JPEG file to roberta.barton@fresnolibrary.org with the subject line: “Big Read Photo Contest.”
- A 5” x 7” photo print can be sumitted in lieu of a digital photo. Mail your photo to Roberta Barton, Fresno County Library, 2420 Mariposa Street, Fresno, CA 93721.
- All entries must include your name, address, phone and email. All entries must be received or postmarked by April 19, 2009.
- Submission of your photo grants permission to the Fresno County Library to use and publish your photo for Library publications, the web site and promotional materials or any other purpose and in any manner or medium. In addition, you grant permission to the Library to alter the same without restriction and to copyright the same. Furthermore, you release the Library from all claims and liability relating to said photos.
- A panel of local judges will choose a winning photo based on creativity, originality and best fun factor!
- The winning photographer will receive a Sony Digital Book Reader to enjoy downloading and reading up to 160 e-books!
The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.
