NewNewspaper ArchiveA collection of 2,300 digitized, keyword-searchable newspapers from across the United States, dating from 1759 to the present. Includes much of the Fresno Weekly/Morning Republican (1876-1921) and the Fresno Bee (1923-1978). In-Library use only.

The California History & Genealogy Room houses a large and diverse collection of materials which document the history of Fresno County since its formation in 1856. The collection's primary components are:

  • approximately 20,000 books and pamphlets pertaining to Fresno County;
  • approximately 1,500 photographs and postcards illustrating various Fresno County people and places;
  • approximately 250 oral histories of various people associated with Fresno County history; and
  • a large vertical file containing information on many different subjects relating to Fresno County.
